Storekeeper

About the Role

Acwa China is seeking a Storekeeper to join their team in Medina. This full-time role involves performing a variety of shipping, receiving, and stocking activities, as well as maintaining inventory and distributing supplies and equipment. The Storekeeper will also be responsible for maintaining accurate stock records and may serve as a lead worker to other classified staff in the area.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain district inventory for Plant supplies, including ordering, receiving, and allocating materials.
• Prepare and type annual requisitions, orders, reports, and correspondence.
• Receive and inspect all incoming materials, reconciling them with purchase orders.
• Process and distribute documentation related to purchase orders; report, document, and track damages and discrepancies on orders received.
• Post daily incoming and outgoing plant stock.
• Report canceled and damaged items to the purchasing department as appropriate.
• Handle and document the storage and transportation of hazardous materials.
• Ensure the identification, segregation, and preservation of stored materials.
• Maintain the warehouse, records area, and stores area in a neat and orderly manner.
• Segregate waste for proper disposal.
• Inform relevant personnel about material arrivals and arrange for inspections.
• Answer questions regarding procedures and resolve discrepancies concerning receipts, deliveries, warranties, repairs, and surplus property.
• Arrange for the return of non-conforming materials.
• Issue materials according to requirements and maintain accurate records.
• Perform other assigned duties as required.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in a storekeeping or similar role.
• Demonstrated ability to perform shipping, receiving, and stocking activities.
• Proficiency in maintaining inventory and stock records.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Medina. The role involves working under direction to manage and maintain supplies and equipment within the plant environment.
