The Role of SMU Mechanical Operator
BAE Systems Saudi Arabia is seeking a SMU Mechanical Operator to join their team in Taif. This full-time role involves carrying out mechanical requirements for scheduled maintenance, removals, and inspections on Typhoon aircraft. The operator will also provide support to RSAF Typhoon operations away from the Scheduled Maintenance Unit (SMU).
Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled mechanical maintenance on RSAF Typhoon aircraft, as detailed in relevant scheduled maintenance inspections.
- Install, repair, maintain, service, overhaul, modify, and test aircraft components and systems.
- Conduct fault diagnosis and recovery of aircraft systems.
- Ensure the quality and completeness of all work carried out on aircraft or aircraft components.
- Operate within the requirements of the SMU Quality Systems and RSAF Technical orders.
- Complete SMU forms, appropriate aircraft forms, records, and maintenance documentation.
- Ensure all authorisations are current for assigned tasks.
- Highlight any areas of inexperience or training requirements to the immediate supervisor to ensure task completion.
- Comply with the requirements of the SMU Quality Systems and RSAF Technical orders and publications.
- Complete all mandated training and ensure training validity dates remain current.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties or requests made by line management.
Work Environment and Compensation
This is a full-time position based in Taif, Saudi Arabia. A competitive salary will be offered for this role.
