Role Overview
Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Front Office Supervisor for its full-time operations in Turaif, Northern Frontier, Saudi Arabia. This position is open to Saudi nationals only and requires 5-10 years of relevant experience. The supervisor is primarily responsible for overseeing all Receptionists during their shifts, ensuring daily tasks are completed efficiently, and maintaining smooth front office operations. This role serves as a main point of communication for Reception and all other operating departments, including Butler, Housekeeping, and Engineering.
Key Supervisory Responsibilities
- Review and update the Logbook regularly.
- Oversee day-to-day front office operations and report to superiors.
- Attend and monitor team trainings to ensure staff proficiency.
- Implement Fire Procedure & First Aid Procedures as required.
- Handle guest complaints and report them promptly to the manager.
- Implement and coordinate the Front Office Operating Standards Manual (OSM).
- Ensure the panic report is printed at least twice during each shift.
- Check equipment to ensure operational readiness.
Front Office Operations and Guest Services
- Prepare for daily arrivals, including room allocation, checking traces for special guest requests, and coordinating with relevant departments.
- Register and process check-ins for all arriving guests.
- Update and verify guest information in the computer system after check-in.
- Perform cashiering duties, foreign exchange transactions, night audit tasks, and settlement upon guests’ departure.
- Manage walk-in counter reservations and process call-in reservations when the room reservations section is closed.
- Provide friendly, smooth, and courteous service to guests, responding promptly to all requests and inquiries.
- Resolve guest complaints/requests and liaise with concerned departments for immediate follow-up, reporting issues to supervisors.
- Handle the issuance of guest room key cards and ensure effective control for guest security.
- Check and convey messages accurately to guests.
- Assist at the Information counter, Foreign Exchange, Night Audit, and the Business Centre as assigned.
- Check the paymaster to ensure no pending transactions.
- File daily reception reports and documents systematically.
- Focus on guests, maintain eye contact, and acknowledge all guests at the desk.
- Drive Upselling initiatives to enhance guest experience and revenue.
Inter-Departmental Coordination and Professional Conduct
- At the end of each shift, communicate all necessary information to the next shift for seamless operations.
- Coordinate and share information with the Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and especially with the General Manager regarding VIPs.
- Maintain a smart, well-groomed appearance and a friendly, cheerful disposition at all times.
- Perform duties according to established Standards and in line with the Company’s Values and Competencies.
- Demonstrate fullest cooperation and respect within the team and with other departments.
- Stay aware of daily activities and possess comprehensive product knowledge of the hotel facilities.
- Carry out any other reasonable tasks as requested.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be a Saudi national with 5-10 years of experience in a front office supervisory role, preferably within the hospitality sector. This role requires a professional who can effectively supervise a team, manage daily operations, and ensure high standards of guest service. Strong communication, organizational skills, and a commitment to upholding company values are essential for success in this full-time position.
