About Raffles & Fairmont The Red Sea

Raffles & Fairmont The Red Sea is situated within the Red Sea Project in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia, specifically in Umluj. This nature-focused resort will feature 361 rooms, eleven distinct dining concepts including an overwater restaurant, a spa, and proximity to an 18-hole championship golf course. The resort is committed to sustainable development along 200km of untouched coastline, an archipelago of over 90 islands, dormant volcanoes, rich marine habitats, and ancient archaeological sites.

The Role of Front Office Supervisor

The Front Office Supervisor is a full-time position responsible for overseeing all Receptionists during their shifts. This role ensures the smooth operation of daily tasks and serves as the primary communication point between Reception and other operating departments such as Butler, Housekeeping, and Engineering. Candidates should be Saudi Nationals with 5-10 years of experience, including pre-opening experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise Receptionists/Guest Service Agents, providing assistance and ensuring tasks meet Raffles standards.
  • Manage staff breaks and ensure adequate coverage in the Lobby and at the Reception/Front Desk.
  • Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the Front Office, Lobby, Concierge, and Reception/Front Desk areas.
  • Perform all reception and cashier duties, and cover shifts for Reception or Rooms Coordinator as required.
  • Liaise with other departments regarding special guest requirements and coordinate arrivals and departures.
  • Address guest complaints promptly and effectively, and meet and greet VIP guests.
  • Conduct shift handovers, communicate special requirements or problems, and follow up on late cancellations and no-shows.
  • Check next day’s arrivals correspondence, confirm bookings, and ensure guest needs are met.
  • Coordinate room allocations with the Rooms Coordinator and manage room moves, ensuring seamless communication.
  • Monitor potential room revenue for discrepancies and make necessary corrections.
  • Track daily financial goals for the hotel and rooms division, as well as LQA, TrustYou, and Forbes targets.
  • Maintain amicable working relations with all departments and identify training needs for Front Office staff.
  • Ensure sufficient stationary supplies and attend beneficial management courses.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

  • 5-10 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in pre-opening stages, including project coordination, scheduling, and document control.
  • Understanding of ultra-luxury guest expectations and brand alignment.
  • A proactive, anticipatory approach with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Impeccable grooming and personal presentation aligned with luxury standards.
  • Personal attributes include being a motivator, team player, positive, well-spoken, people-oriented, result-driven, open-minded, organized, and committed to professional values.
