About the Role

Red Sea Global, through its subsidiary Coastal Contracting Company, is seeking a Senior Technician Lead - Golf to join its golf course maintenance team in Umluj. This full-time position is critical for ensuring the visual appeal and excellent playable conditions of the golf course, requiring 0-1 years of experience in a related field.

Role Overview

The Senior Technician Lead - Golf combines manual labor, landscape care, and the operation of specialized turf machinery. The primary objective is to maintain greens, fairways, tees, and bunkers to premier standards, ensuring an optimal experience for golfers.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate walk-behind and ride-on mowers for precise turf care across greens, fairways, tees, aprons, and rough areas, adhering to strict course standards.
• Perform daily course setup tasks, including changing hole locations, moving tee markers to manage turf wear, emptying trash bins, and filling ball washers.
• Maintain sand bunkers by hand or mechanical rakes to ensure level surfaces, trim bunker edges, and clear debris.
• Execute general property landscaping duties such as trimming hedges, clearing morning dew or fallen leaves, planting flowers, and managing weeds or brush.
• Support irrigation efforts by monitoring turf moisture, assisting with hand-watering dry patches, and reporting or aiding in the repair of broken irrigation lines.
• Participate in turf renovation activities, including laying sod, spreading seed, aerating soil, and repairing divots or ball marks.
• Conduct basic cleaning, safety checks, and routine upkeep of tools and turf machinery before and after use.
• Adhere to all functional policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions to ensure consistent and controlled work execution.
• Assist in preparing accurate and timely installation reports for the RSG Procurement team to monitor project FFE installation progress.
• Apply Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (HSEQ) policies and procedures to ensure employee safety, compliance, high-quality service delivery, and environmental responsibility.
• Contribute to identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in systems, processes, and practices, focusing on international best practices, business process enhancement, cost reduction, and productivity.

Qualifications and Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required for operating utility vehicles on the property.
• Ability to work early morning shifts (typically starting at 5:00 AM or 6:00 AM) and mandatory rotating weekend shifts.
• Capability to perform heavy manual labor, lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg), and walk or stand for extended periods in all weather conditions (heat, rain, cold).
• Proficiency in safely operating utility vehicles (golf carts), hand tools, power tools, and motorized lawn machinery.
