About the Role
Red Sea Global is seeking a Specialist - Training to join its team in Umluj. This full-time position is central to ensuring the competency, compliance, and ongoing professional development of Ground Operations personnel. The role requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.
Role Overview
The Specialist – Training plays a pivotal role in safeguarding the competency, compliance, and ongoing professional development of Ground Operations personnel. This position is responsible for delivering high-quality training, ensuring alignment with the organization’s approved Training Manual, and all applicable regulatory requirements under GACAR Part 151, GACAR Part 68, and relevant airline standards (IATA IGOM, AHM, DGR). Serving as both a subject-matter expert and a professional role model, the Specialist ensures that all training activities, including classroom, practical, and On-the-Job Training (OJT) evaluations, are conducted to the highest standards of safety, service, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure full compliance and competency achievement for all trainees by delivering and assessing all required curricula in accordance with the GACA-approved Training Manual, Training Program, Course Syllabi, and applicable GACAR regulations (Part 151, Part 68). This includes ensuring all trainees meet defined knowledge, skills, and behavioral competency standards before being authorized for operational duties.
- Deliver training with the highest degree of accuracy, compliance, and professionalism, consistently applying approved instructional techniques and ensuring that course content is factually correct, operationally relevant, and aligned with procedures, airline policies, and regulatory requirements. Training must reflect operational realities at both water aerodromes and airport environments.
- Maintain complete, accurate, and audit-ready training documentation at all times, including attendance sheets, assessment records, OJT checklists, competency forms, training matrices, and digital records. Ensure all documents are updated in accordance with regulatory retention requirements and are readily accessible for internal audits, GACA inspections, and airline compliance reviews.
- Serve as a mentor, role model, and ambassador of values, safety culture, and professional standards, demonstrating exemplary conduct, compliance, and operational discipline. Provide coaching, guidance, and corrective feedback to staff throughout the training and OJT process, reinforcing a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Continuously develop, revise, and improve training materials to ensure alignment with evolving operational needs, regulatory updates, revised aircraft/airline procedures, safety recommendations, post-incident lessons learned, and strategic direction. This includes adapting course content to reflect seasonal operational trends, changes in water aerodrome procedures, and requirements introduced by new equipment or technologies.
- Enhance the overall competency, performance, and readiness of Ground Operations personnel working across all service areas, including airside, landside, resort-based remote check-in, baggage acceptance, passenger handling, ramp safety, water aerodrome support, and seaplane operations by ensuring that training outcomes directly strengthen operational performance, service delivery, and safety standards.
- Support operational resilience and readiness by ensuring that personnel are trained and competent in emergency procedures, irregular operations handling, aviation security requirements, and safety management system (SMS) principles, enabling effective response under both normal and abnormal operating conditions.
- Promote standardization and uniform delivery of ground services by ensuring personnel across different resorts, terminals, and water aerodrome locations apply procedures consistently, reducing operational deviations and enhancing service reliability and guest experience.
- Monitor trainee progress and identify development needs, providing targeted coaching, remedial training, or enhanced instruction where required to support both individual performance and departmental capability development.
- Actively participate in internal reviews, hazard identification activities, post-incident debriefs, and safety forums, ensuring that training content incorporates operational feedback and risk-reduction strategies aligned with the SMS.
