About the Role

The Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu is seeking a Radiology Specialist to join their team in Yanbu. This full-time position requires 0-1 years of experience and involves performing various radiographic procedures while adhering to established policies and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform all types of general X-rays, including advanced radiological sciences such as CT Scans, MRIs, Angiograms, Nuclear Medicine, and Ultrasound procedures, in accordance with hospital procedures and department needs.
• Maintain daily records of all work performed within the department and enter service charge cost codes on request/report forms.
• Process X-ray films, maintain records of X-rays taken, manage supply stock, and assist radiographic technicians.
• Participate in the department's on-call rotation, covering duties for one or more modalities as needed.
• Utilize specific techniques and equipment to protect patients and hospital personnel from radiation hazards.
• Apply Quality Control (QC) in positioning, artifact detection, and equipment malfunction error identification.
• Operate the PACS system correctly, including patient and exam identification, image viewing, display, quality control, and distribution from modalities.
• Inspect and clean cassettes, imaging plates, and other equipment related to infection control, as well as display screens, computer components, modalities, and facilities.

Administrative and Operational Duties

• Follow RCMC policies and procedures, attend annual reviews, and prepare reports.
• Maintain a good rapport and cooperative working relationship with vendors, physicians, and staff.
• Adhere to regulatory requirements, including national and JCI regulations, and ensure compliance with policies regarding department operations, fire, safety, and infection control.
• Communicate the mission, ethics, and goals of the hospital, and maintain organizational confidentiality.
• Report any negative, abnormal, or unexpected events/incidents by completing the appropriate Occurrence Variance Report (OVR) form.
• May be designated as Acting Supervisor in the absence of the Chief Radiographic Technician.
• Lead in crisis situations and direct the department with best practices.

Qualifications and Experience

• 0-1 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to perform routine procedures with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency in using the PACS system.
• Capability to verify digital interfaces and network transmission.

• Maintain an excellent attendance record and represent the organization in a positive and professional manner.
• Comply with all organizational policies regarding ethical business practices.
• Resolve personnel concerns at the departmental level, utilizing the grievance process as required.
• Participate in educational lectures and share new information with staff.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Yanbu, Saudi Arabia. The role involves working within a hospital setting, requiring adherence to strict safety and infection control protocols.
