Al Salama Hospital is seeking a BI Specialist to lead the development and maintenance of its business intelligence and reporting solutions. This full-time role is crucial for transforming data into actionable insights that support decision-making across clinical, administrative, and senior leadership teams, aligning with the hospital’s core value of humanization.

Role Overview

The BI Specialist will be responsible for creating accurate and useful reports and dashboards. This position involves close collaboration with application teams, clinical and administrative stakeholders, and vendors. The specialist will also lead and develop a BI and Data Analyst, contributing to the hospital's data-driven initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop new BI projects and maintain existing ones, including reporting solutions that support accurate and effective decision-making.
• Gather and analyze business requirements, translating them into specifications for clear and impactful reports and dashboards.
• Ensure reports and dashboards meet business requirements and are delivered on time.
• Develop, manage, and monitor SSIS projects and maintain ETL processes.
• Manage requests for system and device integration or interfacing, including connecting medical equipment with the EHR, and troubleshoot interface issues.
• Monitor data flow and integration logs to protect data accuracy, quality, and security in transit.
• Identify application and data risks, propose fixes, and escalate critical issues to management and stakeholders.
• Ensure data security, governance, and compliance with industry best practices, collaborating with the ICT Security Analyst on threat mitigation.
• Respond to security incidents following defined protocols and escalate when necessary.
• Document solutions as required and obtain business sign-off.
• Prepare training materials and deliver end-user training based on business needs.
• Lead, coach, and develop the BI and Data Analyst, and support recruitment, onboarding, and succession planning.

Candidates should possess 0-1 years of experience in a relevant field. The role requires a professional who can effectively manage BI projects and data analysis within a healthcare environment.
