About the Role

Hexaware Technologies Limited is seeking a DC Engineer Specialist for a full-time position. This role involves provisioning and configuring Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) resources, ensuring adherence to approved designs and established landing-zone patterns. The specialist will work with various OCI services, including Compute, Block/Object/FSS Storage, VCN, Load Balancer, DBCS, and ADB.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure networking components such as VCN, subnets, route tables, security lists/NSGs, gateways, FastConnect/IPSec VPN, and DNS, applying standard tagging, naming, and cost-allocation conventions.
• Support deployments and releases across various environments utilizing CI/CD pipelines, including OCI DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, and Azure DevOps.
• Author and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code modules (Terraform / OCI Resource Manager) and automation scripts (Ansible, Bash, Python) for recurring tasks like patching, certificate rotation, snapshots, and environment refresh.
• Monitor platform health and respond to alerts and incidents within defined SLAs using OCI Monitoring, OCI Logging, APM, and enterprise tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, and Dynatrace.
• Execute routine operations including patching, backups, capacity checks, certificate renewals, and drift remediation, and participate in on-call rotations and change windows.
• Apply security controls such as IAM policies, MFA, OCI Vault/KMS, encryption, segmentation, and Bastion, and validate guardrails using Cloud Guard, Security Zones, Vulnerability Scanning, and Data Safe.
• Manage access, including user lifecycle, role assignment, service accounts, and periodic reviews, and support audit and compliance evidence gathering.
• Assist with workload migration (lift-and-shift, re-platform) to OCI, environment setup, and hypercare, and support application teams deploying onto OCI (Oracle DB, WebLogic, OKE, Functions, API Gateway).
• Contribute to cost optimization efforts through right-sizing, scheduling, and unused-resource cleanup, and maintain runbooks, configuration records, and operational documentation.

Experience and Qualifications

Candidates for this role should possess 0-1 years of relevant experience. The position requires a foundational understanding of cloud infrastructure principles and a demonstrated ability to work with OCI services and related technologies.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in OCI resource provisioning and configuration.
• Experience with networking concepts (VCN, subnets, route tables, security lists/NSGs, gateways, FastConnect/IPSec VPN, DNS).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (OCI DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
• Ability to author Infrastructure-as-Code modules (Terraform / OCI Resource Manager) and automation scripts (Ansible, Bash, Python).
• Knowledge of monitoring tools such as OCI Monitoring, OCI Logging, APM, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, and Dynatrace.
• Understanding of security controls including IAM policies, MFA, OCI Vault/KMS, encryption, segmentation, Bastion, Cloud Guard, Security Zones, Vulnerability Scanning, and Data Safe.
