About the Role

IHG Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Director of Security for Six Senses Amaala in Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves assuming full responsibility for the efficient operation of the Security Department, ensuring the provision of exceptional services in alignment with Six Senses brand operating standards and budgetary requirements.

Strategic Leadership and Risk Management

• Provide comprehensive leadership and direction across all areas of security, loss control, security best practices, and security programs, including strategic planning.
• Offer guidance on business security standards, solutions, and practices to maintain a secure environment for the protection of hosts, guests, property, and information.
• Monitor security conditions and conduct ongoing analysis of data from both external and internal sources, advising on appropriate risk mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with all departments and external groups to effectively resolve security-related issues.
• Maintain professional relationships with law enforcement, regulatory agencies, and other issuers of security requirements.

Operational Management and Compliance

• Keep abreast of industry trends and practices, updating knowledge and skills to enhance product and service offerings.
• Focus on the rejuvenation of the Security Department and ensure continuous assessment and review of products and services for relevance, innovation, and alignment with Six Senses wellness and sustainability practices.
• Ensure rigorous adherence to LQA standards through regular physical presence and review.
• Oversee and provide direction for major security-related projects and physical security technologies, including various card key access systems, alarm systems, video surveillance systems, security services, and data security systems.
• Conduct regular inspections and secure the property’s guest areas, public areas, and heart-of-the-house areas, ensuring security and safety improvements are actioned within designated timeframes.
• Develop and implement a security training strategy for the property and ensure appropriate payroll cost minimization by maximizing productivity and efficient scheduling of hosts.
• Ensure all legal, statutory, and financial requirements, documentation, reporting systems, contractual obligations, security and safety protocols, communications, product and service standards, host management practices, and budgetary controls are implemented, reviewed, and maintained.
• Prepare and submit legally required and confidential documentation related to the operation, and accurately complete all corporate reporting requirements for the role.
• Attend or conduct designated meetings and briefings as instructed by management.

Qualifications and Experience

• College or vocational training, plus a minimum of four years of hotel or related security and safety experience, including supervisory experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A Bachelor’s degree and more than five years’ experience in a similar security role are preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in a similar role within luxury hotels with proven results is required.

Essential Licenses

• FSLD License.
• Security Guard License.
