About Mindrift and the Role

Mindrift is seeking a Freelance Full-Stack Web App Developer to contribute to the Tendem project. This is a part-time, remote position where the developer will apply full-stack engineering expertise to design, build, and maintain functional, robust, and user-friendly interactive browser-based applications for real-world use cases. The role is suited for professionals with hands-on experience across modern frontend frameworks, backend APIs, databases, and end-to-end web product delivery.

Project Scope

The developer will design, build, and refine browser-based applications featuring real logic, state management, data persistence, and user input. These applications may range from habit trackers and budgeting tools to internal dashboards, mini-SaaS solutions, and AI-powered applications. Additionally, tasks may involve working on standalone Python applications and data-processing scripts that support or integrate with these products.

Key Responsibilities

• Build interactive web applications utilizing frontend technologies (React, ****, Vue, or similar) and backend APIs (Python/FastAPI/Flask or Node/Express).
• Design and implement data models, schemas, and persistence layers using SQL (PostgreSQL, SQLite) or NoSQL stores.
• Implement authentication, sessions, and basic role-based access control as required.
• Integrate third-party APIs and AI/LLM services (OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar) into product features.
• Manage state, validate user input, and handle error and loading states effectively.
• Develop standalone Python tools and scripts for tasks such as data processing, API clients, and lightweight backend utilities.
• Review, debug, optimize, and refactor full-stack applications to enhance correctness, security, performance, and maintainability.
• Write clear, testable code and debug end-to-end issues across frontend, backend, and database layers.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• At least 3 years of relevant experience in full-stack web development or shipping interactive web applications.
• Strong foundation in full-stack web development, modern frontend frameworks, backend architecture, and building interactive browser-based applications end-to-end.
• Ability to confidently work across frontend, backend, databases, and APIs, design robust application logic, and build production-ready web applications.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to independently architect and ship complete features.
• A portfolio of shipped web applications is required.
• English proficiency at an Upper-intermediate (B2) or above level is required.

Compensation and Work Arrangement

This is a part-time remote role. During active project phases, tasks are estimated to require approximately 10–20 hours per week. This is an estimate and not a guaranteed workload, applicable only while the project is active. Contributors can earn up to $60 per hour equivalent, with compensation varying based on their level and pace of contribution, as well as project scope, complexity, and required expertise.

This opportunity allows for fully remote work on a flexible schedule, requiring only a laptop and a stable internet connection. Developers will apply their expertise to real-world technology projects, gaining experience in building high-quality solutions for a global platform.
