Rosewood Red Sea is seeking a Housekeeping Public Area Supervisor to join its team in Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is central to maintaining the hotel's luxury standards across all public and back-of-house areas, ensuring an exceptional guest experience.

Role Overview

The Public Area Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the cleanliness, maintenance, and presentation of all public areas within the hotel. This position ensures compliance with Forbes, LQA, and Rosewood Brand standards, playing a key part in delivering a luxury guest experience by maintaining all spaces to the highest levels of cleanliness, presentation, safety, and operational readiness.

Core Operational Responsibilities

• Ensure immaculate presentation of allocated areas through thorough and frequent inspections.
• Inspect and complete public area inspection reports.
• Ensure all cupboards are properly stocked with correct supplies and associates have relevant tools.
• Ensure all associates’ equipment is well maintained and in proper working order.
• Prepare daily worksheets for the team.
• Manage inventory of all public area decorations and items.
• Set up and maintain standard look books for all public areas.
• Supervise and document the changing of soft furnishings and upholstery in need of change, repair, or cleaning.

Team Leadership and Guest Relations

• Supervise public area associates and assign special duties and projects.
• Support new members of the public area team.
• Ensure accurate staffing levels are scheduled in advance by reviewing hotel occupancy, events, and anticipated movements.
• Develop a team spirit among the housekeeping department.
• Respond to all guest requests in a prompt and courteous manner.
• Handle guest concerns and comments, finding proper resolutions to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Ensure associates have accurate knowledge of hotel daily activities, events, outlet hours, and directions.
• Display genuine hospitality when dealing with guests and associates.

Standards and Compliance

• Ensure that all Rosewood brand standards have been implemented.
• Collaborate closely with other associates in a supportive and flexible manner, focusing on overall hotel success and guest satisfaction.
• Contribute to the collective commitment of creating a unique guest experience and a sense of place.
• Assist with associate performance by giving timely feedback and reporting to Management.
• Attend all departmental meetings and training sessions, both internal and external.
• Complete any special assignments directed by Housekeeping Leadership.

Safety, Security, and Reporting Protocols

• Report all disciplinary and grievance matters immediately to the Director of Housekeeping or Assistant Director of Housekeeping.
• Report all malfunctions in public areas to the Engineering department and follow up as required.
• Ensure the safety and return of all key cards and Duty Phones, reporting any loss immediately to the housekeeping office.
• Ensure lost and found items are turned directly into Housekeeping and the lost property procedure is followed.
• Report immediately any matters concerning the security of guest rooms, functions, and public areas to the Security department.
• Report suspicious-looking people or items to Security.
• Perform other duties as requested by the housekeeping office.
