The Role: Housekeeping Public Area Supervisor

Faena The Red Sea is seeking a Housekeeping Public Area Supervisor to guide housekeeping line staff in maintaining guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas. This role ensures all areas are cleaned and maintained according to the luxury service standards of Faena Red Sea. The supervisor will lead a team of public area attendants to ensure lobbies, restaurants, restrooms, and all common spaces are spotless, well-maintained, and aligned with the elevated design and luxury standards of the property.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise all housekeeping activities for public spaces, including lobbies, elevators, corridors, restrooms, entrances, driveways, outlets, spa areas, back-of-house corridors, and service elevators.
• Develop and manage daily task checklists and cleaning schedules for Public Area Attendants.
• Ensure the readiness of high-traffic areas during key guest arrival, dining, and event periods.
• Provide on-the-spot coaching and reinforce brand standards for team members.
• Ensure proper usage, care, and storage of equipment, chemicals, and housekeeping tools.
• Coordinate and supervise service assessments for outsourced maintenance contracts related to public spaces.
• Maintain updated inventories of public area cleaning equipment, machinery, and consumables, ensuring timely replenishment.
• Assign cleaning tasks to housekeeping line staff and monitor their performance.
• Inspect rooms, hallways, lobbies, and public areas for cleanliness and order.
• Conduct training sessions on cleaning methods, equipment use, and safety procedures.
• Manage the stocking and ordering of cleaning supplies to ensure availability and budget compliance.
• Resolve guest issues or complaints related to cleanliness efficiently.
• Prepare reports on departmental activities, staff performance, and resource utilization.
• Conduct quality inspections to uphold Faena’s cleanliness, presentation, and Forbes 5-star service standards.
• Support the development of training programs and facilitate onboarding for new team members.
• Monitor inventory of linens, amenities, and supplies, ensuring par levels and timely restocking.
• Liaise with Front Office, Engineering, and other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Support department compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Manage lost & found, deep-cleaning projects, and VIP arrival preparations.
• Respond to guest service requests and manage in-room service recovery with discretion.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma or Certificate in Hospitality Management or a related field.
• 2-5 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
• Experience with Forbes or 5-Diamond service standards is preferred.
• Familiarity with PMS (Opera) and housekeeping management systems.
• Good understanding of hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards.
• Familiarity with housekeeping operations, schedules, and shift planning.
• Basic knowledge of inventory control for cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Experience in handling guest requests and maintaining service standards in public spaces.
