Industrial Computer Engineer

About the Role

Saudi Aramco is seeking an Industrial Computer Engineer to join the Marine Technical Support Department in Ras Tannurah. This is a full-time position requiring 5-10 years of experience. The role involves serving as the Process Automation & Networks Administrator proponent representative for Marine plants at Ras Tanura West Pier, Abu Ali Pier, and Tanajib Pier.

Department Overview

The Marine Technical Support Department is an integral part of Saudi Aramco’s Industrial Services. It operates a fleet of vessels to provide various Marine Services, supporting the exploration, production, and transportation of oil within and around Saudi Aramco’s offshore concession areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, support, and maintain Operational Technology network infrastructure, including servers, workstations, routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.
• Ensure system integrity and availability through robust backup and recovery procedures, along with regular maintenance and optimization.
• Perform Windows System Administration, including configuring domain controllers, active directory, and group policies according to applicable standards.
• Implement and configure Security Incident & Event Management (Splunk) systems for detecting and responding to security incidents.
• Utilize compliance and configuration management tools (Tripwire), including their implementation and configuration.
• Manage relational database management systems.
• Configure and administer WSUS for deploying and managing patches, updates, and hotfixes, ensuring compliance with security policies.
• Configure and set up automated backup & recovery systems (*, Acronis, Veeam).
• Ensure endpoints are configured and protected with the latest security updates and patches (Trellix ePolicy Orchestrator).
• Configure and troubleshoot network monitoring tools, including SNMP, NetFlow, and packet capture; monitor and analyze network traffic and logs for security threats.
• Apply cybersecurity principles and practices, including threat analysis, vulnerability assessment, and penetration testing.
• Provide support for design reviews, factory acceptance tests, site acceptance tests, operational support, obsolescence management, upgrades, risk assessments, and decommissioning, or participate in new projects.
• Engage in compliance evaluations and adhere to organizational standards, policies, and best practices.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system diagrams, configuration files, and user/instruction manuals.
• Facilitate technical discussions with external vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate effectively within a team environment to achieve common goals.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering from a recognized and approved institution.
• Five (5) years of experience in the installation, configuration, setup, and support of Cybersecurity infrastructure for DCS and PLC systems in an industrial environment.
• Five (5) years of experience specifically within the Oil & Gas Industry.
