Junior Instrumentation design engineer

About the Role

AQSSE is seeking a Junior Instrumentation Design Engineer to join their team in the Eastern Province, Eastern. This is a full-time, entry-level position designed for professionals with 0-1 years of experience who will contribute to the design, specification, and implementation of instrumentation and control systems.

Role Overview

The Junior Instrumentation Design Engineer will support projects for industrial facilities, including oil & gas plants, petrochemical facilities, power plants, and manufacturing industries. This role involves assisting senior engineers in various design and documentation tasks related to instrumentation and control systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing instrumentation design documents and drawings.
• Develop instrument indexes, I/O lists, and cable schedules.
• Support the selection and specification of field instruments such as pressure transmitters, temperature sensors, flow meters, level instruments, and control valves.
• Review P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams).
• Prepare instrument hook-up drawings and installation details.
• Coordinate with process, electrical, mechanical, and piping disciplines.
• Support compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and safety requirements.
• Participate in technical reviews and site visits when required.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Basic knowledge of instrumentation and control engineering principles.
• Familiarity with industry standards (IEC, ISA, API).
• Ability to read P&IDs and engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and engineering design software.
• Understanding of PLC, DCS, and SCADA systems.
