Role Contribution and Impact

As a Lead Cost Engineer, you will be instrumental in maintaining financial discipline and optimizing project costs. This role involves close collaboration with project teams, providing essential cost engineering expertise and strategic guidance to achieve project objectives and ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of cost engineers, fostering effective collaboration and knowledge sharing.
• Develop and implement cost engineering strategies, methodologies, and best practices for infrastructure projects.
• Conduct comprehensive cost estimates, including material, labor, and equipment costs, to support project planning and budgeting.
• Review and analyze project designs, specifications, and contracts to identify potential cost implications and provide cost-saving recommendations.
• Monitor and control project costs throughout the project lifecycle, identifying cost variances and implementing corrective actions.
• Prepare and present cost reports, forecasts, and financial analyses to project stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability.
• Collaborate with project managers and other disciplines to integrate cost engineering into project planning and decision-making processes.
• Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and cost-saving techniques to enhance cost engineering practices.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior cost engineers, fostering their professional development.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards in cost engineering practices.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in cost engineering, preferably within infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrated expertise in cost estimation, control, and financial analysis.
• Proven ability to lead and manage a team of cost engineers.
