Lead Gas Master Planning Specialist

About the Role

Saudi Aramco is seeking a Lead Gas Master Planning Specialist to join the Gas Operations Technical Support Division (GOTSD), part of the Gas Operations Technical Support & Planning Department (GOTS&PD). This full-time role involves translating corporate strategies into comprehensive development plans, typically spanning 10 to 20 years, which guide capital investment decisions for the gas business.

Department Overview

The Gas Operations Technical Support Division (GOTSD) is responsible for the strategic growth and optimization of the gas business. This includes integrating technical expertise, digital solutions, and technological innovation. The division oversees Master Gas Network planning and optimizes the gas supply portfolio through advanced modeling and cost-benefit frameworks. GOTSD focuses on deploying technologies such as AI, IoT, and digital twins to deliver high-impact solutions for gas operations.

Responsibilities

• Assess the performance of existing facilities and infrastructure.
• Forecast future demand and supply scenarios, considering market dynamics, population demographics, and regulatory changes.
• Evaluate the impact of emerging technologies and sustainability practices.
• Develop conceptual designs and scopes for new projects or upgrades.
• Contribute to facilities planning, supporting Business Master Plans and Facility Master Plans.
• Ensure the integration of relevant data and perspectives into plans, aligning with priorities and resource allocation.
• Perform cost-benefit analyses to compare alternative solutions and determine efficient and sustainable paths.
• Present data-driven recommendations to support decision-making at critical milestones.
• Schedule regular plan updates, typically every 3–5 years depending on the plan type.
• Revise plans in response to significant changes in assumptions, such as new market conditions, regulatory shifts, or technological advancements.
• Ensure plans remain relevant and actionable over time.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience is required.
