Lead Geologist

About the Role

Maaden is seeking a Lead Geologist to drive mineral resource discovery and growth within its exploration portfolio. This full-time role is based in the Khurais oil field, Saudi Arabia. The Lead Geologist will translate geological interpretations, drilling outcomes, and technical insights into enhanced resource confidence, future mine development options, and informed investment decisions, thereby strengthening exploration performance and long-term business value.

Key Responsibilities

• Shape exploration plans to advance priority targets and resource growth opportunities.
• Define mineralization potential through disciplined geological interpretation and technical evaluation.
• Deliver drilling and field programs to improve resource confidence and project readiness.
• Convert exploration results into clear recommendations for portfolio and investment decisions.
• Lead exploration drilling, mapping, sampling, and field activities across assigned assets.
• Optimize field execution to improve safety, productivity, cost control, and technical quality.
• Coordinate contractors, equipment, and resources to deliver exploration priorities.
• Maintain accurate geological data capture, validation, interpretation, and reporting.
• Develop geological models and technical outputs that strengthen resource evaluation.
• Improve geological databases, records, and quality controls to protect data integrity.
• Identify geological risks and opportunities that affect resource confidence and project value.
• Align exploration activities with resource development, mining, study, and business priorities.
• Provide expert guidance that supports technical decisions and cross-functional alignment.
• Maintain compliance with safety, environmental, technical, and reporting standards.
• Apply leading exploration practices, tools, and technologies to improve performance.
• Build technical capability and promote knowledge sharing across exploration teams.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in geology, with a focus on mineral resource discovery and exploration.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret geological data and translate it into actionable insights.
• Experience in leading drilling and field programs.
• Proficiency in geological data management, modeling, and reporting.
