About the Role

UrbaCon Contracting & Trading Company is seeking a Lead QA/QC Engineer for a full-time position in Construction & Contracting. This role involves providing operational, technical, and functional leadership across construction and contracting activities, ensuring alignment with organizational standards, business objectives, and regulatory requirements. The Lead QA/QC Engineer will drive performance, coordination, compliance, stakeholder engagement, and service delivery within the QA/QC function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day QA/QC activities within the construction and contracting environment to ensure efficient execution, compliance with procedures, and achievement of operational targets.
  • Coordinate schedules, manpower, materials, contractors, and operational activities to ensure timely completion of tasks, projects, and deliverables.
  • Liaise with internal departments, consultants, suppliers, subcontractors, clients, and operational teams for smooth communication and issue resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, regulatory standards, HSE requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Monitor operational KPIs, productivity, service standards, and quality benchmarks, identifying gaps and implementing corrective actions.
  • Prepare operational reports, technical records, progress updates, cost analyses, and management presentations.
  • Support efficient utilization of manpower, equipment, budgets, materials, and operational resources to improve productivity and optimize costs.
  • Identify operational risks, technical challenges, delays, and performance issues, implementing mitigation measures and escalation processes.
  • Support the implementation of quality assurance and quality control procedures to meet company and client expectations.
  • Contribute to process enhancements, digital initiatives, workflow optimization, and operational excellence programs.

Experience and Qualifications

  • 0-1 years of experience in a relevant field.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide operational, technical, and functional leadership.
  • Strong understanding of QA/QC principles within construction and contracting.

Skills and Competencies

  • Ability to drive performance and coordinate activities effectively.
  • Proficiency in ensuring compliance with various standards and regulations.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Capability in performance monitoring and continuous improvement initiatives.
