Role Summary

The Lifeguard is responsible for ensuring the safety of swimmers and maintaining a secure and enjoyable environment within the recreation facility. This full-time role involves active observation, rescue operations when necessary, and adherence to safety protocols and company standards. The position requires 0-1 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Observe the swimming area for dangerous conditions, unusual activities, and struggling swimmers.
• Utilize appropriate rescue techniques for swimmers requiring assistance.
• Promote and enforce the rules and regulations of the recreation facility.
• Identify situations where guests may not safely participate in an activity and inform supervisors.
• Provide assistance to injured guests until emergency medical services arrive.
• Maintain a fun and relaxing atmosphere for guests.
• Obtain, fold, and stack towels according to company procedures.
• Wash, mop, and clean the pool deck.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management.
• Complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, maintain confidentiality, and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards, ensuring a professional appearance.
• Anticipate and address guests’ service needs, including assisting individuals with disabilities.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with guests and colleagues.
• Support co-workers and treat them with dignity and respect.
• Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.
• Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines for defects.
• Perform physical tasks including moving at required speeds, standing for extended periods, lifting objects up to 50 pounds independently (and over 75 pounds with assistance), grasping objects, and moving over varied surfaces.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.

Required Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or * equivalent.
• Experience: No related work experience is required.
• Certifications:
  • CPR Certification
  • First Aid Certification
  • Any certification or training required by local and state agencies.
