Role Overview

The Manager Material Management serves as a Project Purchasing Manager for small to medium-sized Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication, and Construction (EPFC) projects. Alternatively, this position may function as a regional manager for non-project procurement activities. The role involves overseeing material management from procurement through receipt at designated points of use.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a project member in formulating plans and executing overall material management activities, or assist in planning and executing specialized Material Management activities (material control, procurement, expediting, logistics, inspection, or field material management) for projects or offices.
• Manage the procurement work process and report the material management status of purchased material and equipment from purchase through receipt at assigned points of use.
• Oversee the development of all purchasing and Material Management activities from requisition to close-out, including assigning requisitions and Request for Quotation or Proposal packages to appropriate procurement and other material management personnel.
• Implement, manage, and monitor the Material Management Work Process using the approved Corporate Reference Tool for Material Management to meet project requirements and schedules.
• Perform supervisory responsibilities as appropriate.
• Generate Request for Quotation (RFQ) and Purchase Orders (PO) in the approved material management reference system for project, estimate, or proposal work.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in material management or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in managing procurement processes for engineering, procurement, fabrication, and construction (EPFC) projects.
• Proficiency in material management work processes and corporate reference tools.
