About Dallah Healthcare

Dallah Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join its team on a full-time basis. This role involves providing comprehensive occupational therapy services to both inpatient and outpatient individuals within our healthcare facility.

The Occupational Therapist Role

The Occupational Therapist is responsible for conducting thorough physical and psychological assessments to develop and implement effective treatment plans. This position focuses on helping patients regain lost skills, adapt to physical or mental health challenges, and improve their overall independence and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities in Patient Assessment and Planning

  • Conduct physical and psychological assessments of patients to identify needs and capabilities.
  • Evaluate patient condition regarding physical and basic mental health status.
  • Develop or follow a treatment plan specifically tailored to individual patient needs and therapeutic goals.
  • Assess the home and work environments of patients to determine necessary adjustments and modifications that support their independence.
  • Advise patients, caregivers, and family members on appropriate adaptive equipment to assist with daily activities.

Therapeutic Intervention and Education

  • Develop and implement physical rehabilitation programs designed to help patients regain lost skills and improve functional abilities.
  • Educate caregivers and family members on patient care techniques and strategies to support recovery and ongoing well-being.
  • Continuously evaluate the results and progress of occupational therapy interventions, adjusting plans as necessary.
  • Maintain professional knowledge and technical progress to ensure the provision of the most current and effective treatment programs.

Operational Standards and Professional Conduct

  • Be available for on-call treatment of patients as required by department needs.
  • Implement appropriate policies and procedures to achieve hospital goals and objectives, adhering strictly to established Standards of Care and quality performance improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure the treatment room is maintained in an organized and functional state, including the proper return of all machines by the department Rehabilitation Aide.
  • Perform other duties within the range of professional knowledge and skills as directed by the Head of Physiotherapy.
