Job Description
About the Role
Dallah Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Physiotherapist to join its team. This full-time role involves managing patient care to the highest attainable standards within Dallah Hospital's resources. The Physiotherapist will be responsible for evaluating and treating a diverse range of patients referred to the Physiotherapy Department according to established plans.
Core Responsibilities
The Physiotherapist will play a crucial role in upholding high standards of care and contributing to the department's objectives. Key responsibilities include:
- Implementing appropriate policies and procedures to achieve the hospital's goals and objectives, ensuring adherence to Standards of Care and continuous quality performance improvement.
- Participating in patient and family education to enhance their understanding and engagement in care, thereby enabling well-informed care decisions.
- Performing other duties within the range of professional knowledge and skills as directed by the Head of Physiotherapy.
Patient Treatment and Care Duties
The role encompasses comprehensive patient management, including assessment, treatment planning, and direct therapeutic interventions. Specific duties include:
- Treating both in-patients and out-patients.
- Assessing patient conditions and developing individualized treatment plans for in-patients and out-patients.
- Providing chest therapy treatment to in-patients and out-patients based on their specific needs.
- Conducting specific exercises for female patients in pre-partum and post-partum stages.
- Administering manual massage and medical exercises to both out-patients and in-patients.
- Being available for on-call treatment of patients as required.
Operational Support and Environment Management
In addition to direct patient care, the Physiotherapist will manage treatment areas and equipment, ensuring a clean and organized environment. This includes:
- Returning any machine used in the treatment room to its proper place via the department porter.
- Coordinating with the department porter to clean and fix treatment beds and tools after patient treatment sessions.
- Requesting the department porter to clean any equipment used daily.
- Preparing the treatment room for the next patient if the porter is unavailable.
Qualifications and Experience
Candidates should meet the following essential and desirable criteria:
- Education:
- Essential: Bachelor of Science (*** in Physical Therapy, certified by the Ministry of Health.
- Desirable: Attendance at physiotherapy program courses held by a physiotherapy group, or possession of a Master's degree in a related field.
- Experience:
- Essential: A minimum of one year of experience as a Physiotherapist.
- Desirable: Two years of experience as a Physiotherapist.
