Process Engineer

About the Role

Saudi Aramco is seeking a Process Engineer to join the Fuels Strategy and Capital Planning Department. This full-time role involves evaluating capital investment proposals and reviewing business plans to ensure alignment with corporate strategy. The department provides economic, strategic, and planning support to guide management in investment decisions.

Role Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of the Process Engineer is to review fuels capital submittals. This includes validating underlying assumptions and assessing the economics, feasibility, and technicality of proposed initiatives. The role ensures that capital proposals meet strategic objectives, are supported by sound business logic, and reflect accurate financial and operational expectations. Additionally, the Process Engineer will evaluate, assess, and optimize process-related inputs that support strategic planning and business plan development.

Key Duties

• Provide thorough reviews of capital project submittals to ensure completeness, accuracy, and alignment with strategic objectives.
• Assess process-related assumptions within capital projects to ensure technical, operational, and economic soundness.
• Perform feasibility assessments that consider market conditions, business plan outlooks, and long-term fuels strategy.
• Assess the technical feasibility of proposed initiatives and ensure alignment with long-term strategic objectives.
• Provide structured recommendations on project justification, value creation, and alignment with enterprise strategy.
• Perform reviews of business plans and investment plan submissions to ensure consistency with downstream planning.
• Perform detailed reviews of strategic studies and provide engineering insights that strengthen investment decisions.

Experience Required

Candidates should possess over 10 years of relevant experience in process engineering, particularly within capital planning or strategic project evaluation.
