Job Description

About the Product & Design Internship

Tabby is offering a Product & Design Intern (Tabby Imagine) role, an internship designed for individuals seeking rapid professional growth in product and design. This role is awarded through the Tabby Imagine challenge, an open design and product competition for Saudi Arabia. Three winners will be selected for this demanding internship.

The Tabby Imagine Challenge

The selection process for this internship is based solely on your submission to the Tabby Imagine challenge. Candidates are required to develop a product idea for Tabby, either a new concept or an improvement to an existing feature. Submissions can be in any format that best showcases the idea, such as a written page, Figma file, clickable prototype, working code, or a short video. Only one submission is required, and there is no specific format. All entries must be submitted as a link that is accessible to anyone holding it. Tabby's public design system is available at *********** for reference.

Challenge Submission and Evaluation

Entries will be reviewed blindly, with candidate names hidden during the scoring process. The strongest entrants will be invited to present their work live at the final event, which serves as the interview for this role. Publicly naming a winner requires separate consent, and declining consent will not result in disqualification. Entries open on September 16 and close on September 30. Registration is available at *******************************.

  • Conduct research, including user interviews and data analysis, to identify underlying issues.
  • Assess the problem accurately and define scope, including what will not be addressed.
  • Design solutions in Figma, covering flows, screens, states, and edge cases.
  • Present work for critique with the product and design team and iterate based on feedback.
  • Hand off designs to engineers and support the build process through release.
  • Measure outcomes and clearly report on the effectiveness of the solution.
  • Communicate results to the team, including instances where the solution did not achieve its intended goal.
  • Work collaboratively with engineers, analysts, and product managers on shared problems.
  • Present and defend design decisions, while being open to changing direction based on evidence.
