Hill International is seeking a dedicated Project Controls Engineer to join its team. This full-time role offers an opportunity to contribute to significant projects within a professional environment.
Overview of the Project Controls Engineer Role
The Project Controls Engineer is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely reporting of project data. This position plays a crucial part in maintaining the integrity of cost, schedule, and progress information across various contracts. The role involves supporting diverse project functions through detailed data analysis and comprehensive reporting. The assignment is expected to last until the end of 2026, with a possibility of extension.
Core Responsibilities
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports, including closeout, demobilization, and preservation reports.
- Collect, organize, and maintain project data across contracts, encompassing cost, schedule, and progress information.
- Update cost and schedule trackers, and develop S-curves, charts, and presentation materials.
- Support the reconciliation of records from SAP, Oracle Unifier, and Primavera P6, and manage reporting calendars.
- Perform variance analysis and provide clear commentary on identified changes.
- Assist in preparing schedule and cost substantiation records for potential claims and disputes.
- Complete ad-hoc analysis and reporting tasks as requested by the Project Controls Manager.
- Apply established document control and data quality standards to all work products.
- Follow up with project teams and stakeholders to gather necessary inputs and evidence.
- Ensure strict confidentiality and data integrity throughout all project control processes.
Essential Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of project controls experience is required.
- Experience on construction or major capital projects is preferred.
- Prior experience working with an Owner, IPMT, PMC, consultant, or contractor is preferred.
Key Skills and Desirable Credentials
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
- A PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or a comparable credential is desirable.
