About Hill International and the Role

Hill International, Inc. is seeking a Project Controls Engineer to join their team in Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is central to ensuring the accurate and timely reporting of project data, playing a crucial part in maintaining the integrity of cost, schedule, and progress information. The Project Controls Engineer will support various project functions through data analysis and comprehensive reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports, including closeout, demobilization, and preservation reports.
  • Collect, organize, and maintain data across contracts, encompassing cost, schedule, and progress information.
  • Update cost and schedule trackers, and develop S-curves, charts, and presentation materials.
  • Support the reconciliation of SAP, Oracle Unifier, and Primavera P6 records, and manage reporting calendars.
  • Perform variance analysis and provide commentary on changes.
  • Assist with schedule and cost substantiation records for claims and disputes.
  • Complete ad-hoc analysis and reporting as requested by the Project Controls Manager.
  • Apply document control and data quality standards to all work products.
  • Follow up with project teams and stakeholders for necessary inputs and evidence.
  • Ensure confidentiality and data integrity throughout all processes.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years of project controls experience, preferably on construction or major capital projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Mandatory advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Practical experience in cost, schedule, and data analysis reporting is essential.

Preferred Skills and Credentials

  • Working knowledge of Primavera P6, SAP, and Oracle Unifier.
  • Experience with Power BI, Aconex, SharePoint, and OneDrive is considered an asset.
  • PMP or a comparable credential is desirable.
  • Experience gained from an Owner, IPMT, PMC, consultant, or contractor background is preferred.

Assignment Details

This assignment is expected to continue until the end of 2026, with the possibility of extension based on project needs and performance.

Work Environment and Expectations

The successful candidate will possess strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to report effectively to executives. This role requires the ability to work independently and manage deadlines efficiently, while consistently upholding data quality standards and confidentiality.
