Project Engineer

About the Role

ABIS is seeking a Project Engineer to support project execution. This full-time role involves managing technical documentation, coordinating engineering deliverables, and resolving technical queries to ensure construction activities align with design and specifications.

Role Overview

The Project Engineer plays a crucial part in the successful delivery of projects by acting as a key technical liaison. The role ensures that all technical aspects of a project are handled efficiently, from initial design review through to final documentation and handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and manage engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Coordinate technical queries (TQs) between the site, engineering teams, and the client.
• Track and control document submittals and approvals, including transmittals and Master Document Registers (MDRs).
• Support material take-offs and provide technical input for procurement processes.
• Assist in constructability reviews and the resolution of design and field conflicts.
• Coordinate with Quality Control (QC) to ensure the technical compliance of installed works.
• Support the preparation of method statements and inspection/test plans.
• Liaise with engineering, planning, and construction teams on technical matters.
• Track technical punch-list items through to closure.
• Support as-built drawing preparation and final documentation handover.
• Assist the Project Manager with technical reporting and presentations.
• Provide technical support during commissioning and handover activities.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a project or technical engineering role.
• Demonstrated experience on EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) or industrial construction projects.
