Safety Engineer

About the Role

Retal is seeking a Safety Engineer to join its team. This is a full-time position focused on ensuring safety standards and practices within the organization. The role involves contributing to a secure work environment through diligent application of safety protocols and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement safety procedures and policies in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Provide safety training to employees on various topics, including emergency procedures, hazard communication, and equipment operation.
• Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training activities.
• Collaborate with management and employees to foster a strong safety culture.
• Stay updated on new safety regulations, technologies, and best practices.

Qualifications and Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in a safety-related role, preferably within a similar industry.
• Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and standards.
• Certifications in safety (*, NEBOSH, OSHA) are highly desirable.
