Senior Housekeeper Supervisor

About the Role

Marriott International is seeking a Senior Housekeeper Supervisor for a full-time position in Medina. This role involves overseeing housekeeping operations to ensure high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. The Senior Housekeeper Supervisor will manage administrative tasks, quality control, and team leadership within the department.

Key Responsibilities

• Enter the status of cleaned rooms and complete checklists to report cleanliness and condition of assigned areas.
• Complete required Housekeeping paperwork and identify room assignments and cleaning types.
• Inspect guest rooms after cleaning and respond promptly to requests from guests and other departments.
• Enter guest rooms following established procedures for access and vacancy verification.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees; serve as a role model.
• Ensure adherence to company and safety/security policies; report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training; properly store flammable materials.
• Maintain professional uniform and personal appearance; ensure confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guest service needs; assist individuals with disabilities.
• Ensure quality expectations and standards are met; identify, recommend, develop, and implement improvements for efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and cost-savings.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships; support team goals; listen and respond to employee concerns.
• Communicate professionally and clearly with others.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing up to 55 pounds without assistance, and in excess of 55 pounds with assistance.
• Capability to push and pull a loaded housekeeping cart and other work-related machinery over sloping and uneven surfaces.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Stand, sit, kneel, or walk for extended periods across an entire work shift.
• Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.

Qualifications and Experience

• 0-1 year of relevant experience is required.
• Ability to enter and locate work-related information using computers and/or point of sale systems.
• Capability to visually verify and interpret written documents.
