Role Summary

The Senior Specialist, Geology provides advanced geological expertise to support various stages of mining operations. This includes mineral exploration, resource evaluation, mine planning, and operational decision-making. The role focuses on enhancing geological data quality, improving resource confidence, and contributing to sustainable mining practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct geological mapping, sampling, logging, and data interpretation.
• Develop and review geological models, resource reports, and technical assessments.
• Identify geological uncertainties and recommend mitigation actions.
• Plan and monitor drilling programs and exploration campaigns.
• Evaluate exploration targets and recommend future opportunities.
• Provide geological advice to planning, engineering, and operational teams.
• Maintain geological data, documentation, and reporting standards.
• Monitor geological risks and ensure compliance with HSE and regulatory requirements.
• Improve geological practices and mentor junior personnel.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 8 to 12 years of relevant experience in geology.
• Demonstrated ability to produce accurate, complete, and reliable geological data and models.
• Proven track record in delivering high-quality geological information from exploration programs.
• Experience in identifying and addressing geological risks and uncertainties.
• Ability to provide technical recommendations that improve planning and operational decisions.
