The Role

Ma'aden is seeking a Senior Specialist, Licensing & Tenement Management to oversee the strategic and operational aspects of exploration licensing and tenement management. This full-time role involves ensuring full compliance with regulatory frameworks and aligning activities with corporate exploration objectives. The Senior Specialist will serve as a key advisor on licensing matters, drive process improvements, and cultivate strong relationships with regulatory authorities and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the comprehensive process of exploration license applications, renewals, and compliance reporting.
• Ensure strict adherence to national and regional mining laws, environmental regulations, and internal governance standards.
• Maintain and update tenement databases, accurately tracking obligations, expiry dates, and reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with exploration, legal, and environmental teams to align licensing activities with operational plans.
• Act as the primary point of contact with government agencies and regulatory bodies concerning licensing matters.
• Lead internal audits and provide support for external inspections related to tenement compliance.
• Develop and implement process improvements and digital solutions to optimize licensing workflows.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to knowledge sharing within the licensing function.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 7+ years of experience in exploration licensing or tenement management.
• At least 2 years of this experience must be in a senior or advisory role within the mining or energy sector.

Work Type

This is a full-time position within Ma'aden, contributing to the development of the mining industry in Saudi Arabia.
