Site Manager (Substations)

About the Role

Trading and Development Partnership is seeking a Site Manager (Substations) to oversee electrical construction activities for HV/EHV substation projects. This full-time position is based in the Eastern region of Saudi Arabia and requires a professional with over 10 years of experience in the field.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all electrical construction activities for High Voltage (HV) and Extra High Voltage (EHV) substation projects.
• Supervise site engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and installation teams to ensure project execution.
• Ensure strict compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, SEC standards, and overall project requirements.
• Monitor project progress diligently and implement corrective actions as needed to maintain schedules and quality.
• Coordinate effectively with civil, testing & commissioning, and project management teams.
• Ensure adherence to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) and quality standards across all site activities.
• Review material requirements, work schedules, and manpower allocation to optimize resources.
• Attend meetings with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders to facilitate communication and decision-making.
• Support testing, commissioning, energization, and project handover activities.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Strong experience, exceeding 10 years, in the installation of Air Insulated Switchgear (AIS) and Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) substations (132kV, 230kV, 380kV and above).
• Good knowledge of power transformers, GIS/AIS equipment, protection systems, cables, and switchgear.
• Demonstrated experience in managing site teams and subcontractors.

Required Skills and Preferred Certifications

• Familiarity with SEC standards and regulations is preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential.
• SEC Approval is a preferred qualification.
• Certifications such as PMP, OSHA, NEBOSH, or equivalent are considered an advantage.
