KBR, Inc. is seeking a Lifting Engineer to join its team in Al Jubail, Eastern region. This full-time position is within KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS), which delivers comprehensive solutions across the asset lifecycle, including licensed process technologies, advisory services, technical expertise, and design capabilities. The role requires 5-10 years of experience in a relevant field.

Role Overview

The Lifting Engineer will be responsible for developing and overseeing lifting operations, ensuring safety and efficiency in all related activities. This includes creating detailed plans, selecting appropriate equipment, and managing rigging crews. The position emphasizes proactive safety practices and effective coordination of heavy equipment contractors.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed lifting plans and method statements for various lifting equipment, including cranes, hoists, winches, and specialized gear.
• Select suitable lifting equipment such as slings, shackles, spreader beams, and cranes based on load characteristics, geometry, and environmental conditions.
• Coordinate and manage heavy equipment operations carried out by contractors.
• Oversee rigging crews during complex or critical lifting operations to ensure adherence to safety protocols and plans.
• Lead toolbox talks and safety briefings specific to lifting operations.
• Demonstrate a proactive approach to safety aptitude and behavior in all tasks.
• Ensure that personnel involved in maintenance activities possess the necessary skills, training, resources, equipment, and tools to perform their duties safely and effectively, in accordance with contract terms.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in lifting engineering or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in developing comprehensive lifting plans and method statements.
• Proficiency in selecting appropriate lifting equipment for diverse operational requirements.
• Experience in coordinating and managing heavy equipment contractors.
• Proven ability to oversee rigging crews and lead safety briefings.

Work Environment and Location

This is a full-time position based in Al Jubail, Eastern region. The role involves working within KBR's Sustainable Technology Solutions division, contributing to projects that optimize planned and operating assets.
