Sr. Electrical Design Engineer Oil & Gas Project

About the Role

Eram Talent is seeking a Sr. Electrical Design Engineer for Oil & Gas projects. This contract position is based in Al Jubayl, Saudi Arabia, and requires a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience. The role focuses on leading and executing electrical engineering and design activities for large to mega-scale projects within the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Hydrocarbon, Refinery, Offshore, or Infrastructure industries.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute electrical engineering and design activities for large to mega projects.
• Apply strong expertise in electrical power distribution systems.
• Conduct ETAP power system studies and determine relay protection settings.
• Perform electrical calculations and contribute to FEED and detailed engineering phases.
• Review vendor documents to ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Provide construction and commissioning support.
• Independently manage electrical engineering deliverables.
• Resolve design and construction-related technical issues in adherence to international standards, NFPA 70/NEC, and client specifications.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant electrical engineering experience.
• Proven experience in EPC engineering and design environments.
• Experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, Hydrocarbon, Offshore, or major Infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrated experience working on large to mega-scale projects.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of electrical power distribution systems and associated engineering practices.
• Strong practical knowledge of ETAP and power system studies.
• Experience with relay protection and protection settings.
• Good knowledge of electrical engineering calculations, design principles, and international standards.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA 70/NEC and applicable client/project standards.
• Experience with engineering deliverables, vendor coordination, and site technical support.
• Ability to work independently as a senior electrical discipline/design engineer.
