About Met T&S and the Role

Met T&S is seeking a highly competent Construction HSE Supervisor for a contract position based in Al Jubayl, Saudi Arabia. This role is integral to upholding robust health, safety, and environmental standards across all construction activities.

Role Overview

The Construction HSE Supervisor reports to the Construction HSE Coordinator. When designated as the TCM HSE representative at a site, the supervisor reports directly to the Site Manager. The primary responsibility of this role is to verify and ensure that all field activities are performed in strict accordance with the TCM HSE policy, regulations, standards, and procedures, actively promoting all necessary preventive and corrective actions to maintain a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform job hazardous analysis (JHA) and participate in job safety analysis (JSA).
• Verify the adequacy and application of the site HSE plan and all related procedures, preparing any necessary revisions.
• Update HSE documentation throughout all construction phases as required.
• Ensure subcontractors perform their activities in accordance with all applicable HSE procedures, regulations, and standards, promoting necessary actions for compliance.
• Organize, plan, and participate in periodical HSE walk-arounds, inspections, and audits on site, preparing relevant reports, action plans, and verifying follow-up and timely execution of corrective actions.
• Organize, coordinate, and directly participate in HSE training activities on site.
• Organize and participate in all relevant site HSE meetings, preparing the Minutes of Meeting (MOM).
• Cooperate with the client concerning the issue of any necessary work permits.
• Organize full investigations of work accidents, aimed at identifying corrective measures to prevent reoccurrence.
• Maintain accident records, identifying areas where prevention efforts must be focused.
• Perform and/or promote the indoctrination and training of personnel.
• Lead and coordinate the activities of the site HSE committee, composed of all contractor and subcontractor HSE representatives.
• Lead and coordinate the site emergency response team and fire prevention/fighting team, organizing training and emergency drill mock activities.
• Prepare the HSE section of the construction monthly progress report and other periodical reports.
• Prepare and update site HSE statistics, verifying performance against project and corporate HSE objectives, targets, and performance indicators.
• Propose recovery plans in case of performance discrepancies.

Required Experience

Candidates for the Construction HSE Supervisor position must possess 5 to 10 years of experience in a relevant health, safety, and environment supervision role, preferably within the construction sector.
