About the Role

Saudi Aramco Total Refining and Petrochemical Company (SATORP) is seeking a Financial Performance Specialist to join their team in Al Jubail, Eastern Region. This full-time position requires 5-10 years of experience in financial analysis and performance monitoring within an industrial environment.

Role Overview

The Financial Performance Specialist will be responsible for monitoring the company's financial performance in alignment with SATORP policies and procedures. This role involves conducting in-depth analysis and evaluation of the company's financial standing and plays a key part in managing and updating the business model to support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the integrity of all financial data.
  • Prepare and consolidate annual budgets and business plans in collaboration with organizational heads and other finance departments.
  • Generate monthly reports for management and shareholders, and quarterly reports and presentations for the board.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives for processes, policies, and procedures, including the development of clear templates and presentations, and enhancement of tools and data management.
  • Facilitate timely and accurate financial information to enable rapid management decision-making.
  • Provide detailed analysis of variable and fixed costs, as well as CAPEX, and analyze departmental business performance to identify deviations from plan and suggest improvements.
  • Establish and monitor monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for relevant SATORP activities and benchmark performance.
  • Challenge business lines on their submissions and forecasts to drive cost reductions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Management Accounting Section Manager.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or an equivalent field. An MBA or CPA is preferred. The role requires 8 years of related experience, with a minimum of 5 years specifically within an industrial environment.

Required Competencies and Skills

  • Strong analytical skills for financial data and report preparation.
  • Proficiency in KPI setting and progress monitoring.
  • Solid understanding of financial accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles.
  • Familiarity with automated financial and accounting reporting systems.
  • Knowledge of cost and management accounting techniques.
  • Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to meeting deadlines.
  • Effective problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong command of both oral and written Arabic and English.
