About the Role: Instrument Technician II

KBR Saudi Arabia is seeking a full-time Instrument Technician II to join our team in Al Jubail. This role is crucial for ensuring the reliability and availability of instrument assets, thereby maintaining the operational efficiency of process units. The ideal candidate will possess 2-5 years of relevant experience in instrument maintenance.

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead, supervise, and coordinate the daily activities of the maintenance technician team for Instrument systems.
  • Ensure strict compliance with preventive maintenance plans and efficiently manage breakdown maintenance for Instrument systems, equipment, and facilities, adhering to best and safe maintenance practices.
  • Execute monthly and weekly maintenance plans and provide onsite maintenance and repairs for various instruments, including generators, transformers, and motors.
  • Verify that all maintenance activities are conducted in accordance with established standards, specifications, safety procedures, manufacturer’s recommendations, and contract terms.
  • Act as the primary focal point for the daily Instrument maintenance execution plan within the designated area of responsibility.
  • Conduct frequent site visits to monitor work execution and oversee the activities of technicians involved in routine maintenance.
  • Track Instrument maintenance work progress, control, and submit regular progress reports to the Instrument foreman, including recommendations for improvements.
  • Maintain records of daily maintenance works against planned programs and prepare comprehensive work completion reports as required.
  • Contribute to the implementation of engineering modifications and enhancements to Instrument equipment by providing recommendations to improve system suitability and serviceability.

Candidate Profile and Experience

We are seeking a professional with a proven track record in instrument maintenance and leadership. Candidates should possess:

  • 2-5 years of experience in a relevant instrument technician role.
  • Proven leadership skills, particularly within large organizations.
  • Maturity of judgment under pressure and a demonstrated ability to resolve complex problems effectively.
  • Strategic management skills.
