Role Summary

The Head of QA/QC plays a critical full-time role in facilitating, monitoring, and controlling plant maintenance and quality assurance procedures and policies. This position is central to ensuring that all maintenance operations adhere to the highest quality, health, safety, environment, and quality (HSEQ) standards of the Company.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop Quality Assurance (QA) plans and other necessary process control procedures to ensure maintenance processes meet specified quality and HSEQ standards.
• Maintain the Corrective Action program and other established quality systems.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive Quality Management System (QMS).
• Coordinate and actively participate in internal audits alongside Company Quality personnel.
• Conduct thorough Quality Assurance investigations, including those related to Deviations and Out-of-Specifications.
• Review maintenance processes to ensure strict adherence to applicable Standard Operating Procedure(s) and work instructions.
• Liaise effectively with other departments regarding Quality Assurance issues.
• Execute additional Quality Assurance functions as they may arise.
• Support contractor staff in their mission of compliance and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure that all personnel within the QA department receive adequate training to perform their jobs effectively.
• Manage the QA departmental budget and other administrative functions to ensure an efficient, cost-effective, and well-integrated maintenance operation.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control roles, preferably within a plant maintenance or industrial setting.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing QA plans, process control procedures, and Quality Management Systems.
• Proven ability to conduct internal audits and lead quality investigations.

Required Skills and Attributes

• Strong understanding of quality management principles, HSEQ standards, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage departmental budgets and administrative functions.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with various departments and supporting contractor staff.
• Analytical mindset for reviewing processes and conducting investigations.
