About the Role

Basic Chemical Industries Group is seeking a Supply Planning Specialist to join their team in Al Jubail. This full-time role involves maintaining accurate planning data, inventory policies, and master data within the ERP/SAP system to develop and manage supply plans. The specialist will ensure alignment with demand forecasts, distribution planning, and production capacity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute daily, weekly, and monthly replenishment, production, and capacity planning by analyzing stock levels, demand signals, and capacity constraints in coordination with Manufacturing/Operations and Commercial teams.
  • Monitor stock levels against inventory targets (*, DIOH) and identify potential shortages, excess, slow-moving, or obsolete/expired inventory through regular stock reviews, alerting the Supply Planning Manager and recommending corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with Manufacturing, Procurement, and suppliers/sourcing on production and material availability and replenishment through regular communication to prevent shortages or overstocking and support uninterrupted supply.
  • Participate in the monthly S&OP/SIOP cycle by providing supply-side and capacity data and input for assigned products to contribute to accurate consensus planning.
  • Analyze supply constraints and risks (material shortages, capacity constraints), recommend mitigation actions, and escalate where necessary by monitoring relevant indicators to enable timely mitigation.
  • Plan and execute inventory cycle counts, reconciliation, and variance analysis, and prepare routine supply planning reports (stock cover, inventory accuracy) by consolidating data from ERP and planning tools to support management reporting and planning accuracy.
  • Manage spare parts planning to ensure availability, accuracy, and system integrity, and continuously improve personal planning practices by applying feedback and lessons learned from forecast/plan variances.

Experience and Qualifications

Candidates for this role should possess 2-5 years of relevant experience in supply planning or a related field. A strong understanding of ERP/SAP systems and their application in supply chain management is essential.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in maintaining accurate planning data and master data.
  • Ability to analyze stock levels, demand signals, and capacity constraints.
  • Strong coordination and communication skills for liaising with manufacturing, procurement, and commercial teams.
  • Analytical skills to identify potential shortages, excess inventory, and supply risks.
  • Competence in preparing routine supply planning reports and performing variance analysis.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Al Jubail. The role requires collaboration with various internal departments, including Manufacturing, Operations, and Commercial teams, as well as external suppliers.
