About the Role

Rotana Hotels is seeking a dedicated Chef Tournant to join our culinary team in Al Khobar, Eastern region. This full-time position is for a professional with 2-5 years of experience in a kitchen environment, committed to maintaining high culinary standards.

Role Scope

The Chef Tournant will contribute significantly to the culinary department, supporting the direction, training, supervision, planning, and coordination of various kitchen areas. This role involves assisting with projects as requested by the Executive Chef, with a primary focus on ensuring a quality product for guests and contributing to profit margins. The ideal candidate will be a professional who demonstrates a commitment to high standards of customer service and effective culinary solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure consistency and the highest quality in taste, presentation, and appropriate food temperature for all food served within the assigned kitchen area.
• Maintain the quality and cleanliness of all food displays in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Promote maximum creativity in all food displays.
• Monitor all aspects related to the control of the hotel’s food cost.
• Ensure HACCP standards are implemented and adhere to appropriate hygiene standards as per municipality requirements at all times.
• Conduct consistent on-the-job training sessions for culinary colleagues and promote health and safety practices.

Candidate Requirements

• A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in a professional kitchen environment.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver high standards of customer service.
• Proven capability in providing creative culinary solutions.
• Strong understanding and application of HACCP standards and hygiene regulations.
• Ability to conduct effective on-the-job training for kitchen staff.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Al Khobar, within the Eastern region of Saudi Arabia. The role operates within a dynamic hotel kitchen environment, requiring a proactive and collaborative approach.
