Job Overview

Weatherford is seeking a Field Specialist II – Fishing Services to join their team in Al Khobar, Eastern region. This full-time role involves performing field operations for fishing and specialized downhole services, adhering to established techniques, procedures, and operational criteria. The specialist will support job planning, tool and equipment preparation, mobilization, execution, maintenance, troubleshooting, and reporting.

Role Responsibilities

The Field Specialist II operates with a higher degree of independence, serving as a primary client interface at the well site. Key responsibilities include:

• Participating in daily operations meetings, toolbox talks, Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), and safety activities.
• Planning and preparing fishing and ISDT tools, equipment, materials, and accessories for field operations.
• Mobilizing equipment and personnel, ensuring job readiness before deployment.
• Testing, operating, maintaining, assembling, and disassembling fishing and downhole tools according to approved procedures.
• Executing assigned fishing and ISDT operations safely and efficiently with appropriate supervision.
• Monitoring and analyzing operational data to identify potential issues or abnormal conditions.
• Supporting troubleshooting of fishing tools, downhole equipment, and operational problems.
• Preparing and submitting complete job documentation, including job reports, WPTS entries, observation cards, service tickets, and logs.
• Maintaining equipment, facilities, tools, and work areas in a safe and presentable condition.
• Managing inventory and supplies required at the well site.
• Developing and maintaining positive relationships with clients to support service quality.
• Following up on equipment failures with the R&M team and supporting the closure of failure reports.
• Participating in equipment failure investigations and Root Cause Analysis activities.
• Performing engineering or operational checks within the scope of training and competence.
• Supporting and providing guidance to junior field personnel when required.
• Communicating effectively with clients, supervisors, field crews, Operations, R&M, and other internal stakeholders.
• Remaining available on a 24-hour call basis to respond to customer and operational requirements.
• Ensuring all activities comply with Weatherford's HSE policies, Management System, Rules to Live By, applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Maintaining financial responsibility by controlling field expenses and operating within approved budgets.
• Completing required technical, compliance, and business training and continuously developing technical skills.
• Performing other duties and activities safely as assigned by the supervisor within the physical requirements of the role.

Required Experience

Candidates for this position should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in field operations, specifically within fishing and specialized downhole services.
