Cost Controller

About the Role

Abdullah A. Al-Barrak & Son Co. is seeking a Cost Controller to join their team in Al Khobar, Eastern Province. This full-time role is essential for tracking, analyzing, and reporting project costs against approved budgets, ensuring accurate forecasting and robust cost control across various projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain project cost control systems and cost breakdown structures.
• Track committed, actual, and forecast costs against the approved budget.
• Prepare periodic cost reports and conduct variance analysis for management review.
• Support the preparation of project cash flow forecasts.
• Coordinate with procurement and site teams to verify the accuracy of cost data.
• Track change orders/variations and assess their cost impact.
• Support earned value management (EVM) calculations and reporting.
• Maintain cost coding and allocation in line with the project Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
• Assist in the preparation of monthly cost reports for client and management review.
• Identify cost risks and trends, escalating findings to the Project Control Manager.
• Support close-out cost reconciliation and final account preparation.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in project cost control, specifically on EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) or other construction projects.

Experience Level

Candidates should possess between 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in project cost control.

Work Setting

This is a full-time position based in Al Khobar, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia. The salary for this role will be discussed during the interview process.
