Director of Food & Beverage

About the Role

Kempinski Hotels is seeking a Director of Food & Beverage for a full-time position in Al Khobar, Eastern region. This role requires an individual who can work independently, manage challenging circumstances, and proactively develop solutions. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with hotel staff, clients, and vendors.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and implement new Talent Development initiatives within the Food & Beverage department.
• Identify internal and external talents that align with Kempinski’s DNA values.
• Support career development through training, cross-exposure, task force assignments, and transfers.
• Develop talent to present suitable candidates in quarterly Talent Transfer Calls.
• Meet all new Food & Beverage employees to facilitate integration.
• Conduct yearly performance appraisals and TTTT’s (minimum for middle management), providing constructive feedback on job performance.
• Ensure a comprehensive succession plan is in place to guarantee seamless and efficient handovers for all management positions.

Required Skills and Attributes

The ideal candidate will be adept at identifying and delegating tasks effectively, possess strong organizational and time management skills, and consistently apply a professional, confidential, and ethical approach. Working in a safe, prudent, and organized manner is expected. Proficiency in operating computer and office equipment, including Excel and Word, is also required.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in an F&B management role.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a 5-star hotel environment.
• Preference for candidates with experience in a successful stand-alone food & beverage operation.

Work Environment

This full-time position is based in Al Khobar, within the Eastern region. The role requires an individual capable of thriving under pressure and managing challenging circumstances effectively.
