About the Early Career Trainee Program

GE Vernova is seeking an Early Career Trainee Control Services to join its team in Al Khobar, Eastern, Saudi Arabia. This program is a 12-month traineeship, with the possibility of an extension for an additional 6 months. It represents an investment in young talent, providing graduates who meet the specified criteria with comprehensive training to perform their traineeship within a GE Vernova business unit.

Role Overview

The ECT Control Engineer will be responsible for executing Human Machine Interface (HMI) and MKVIe control system field activities for assigned projects. This includes managing project field tasks in alignment with established service processes and technical standards. The role requires a focus on operational execution and collaboration with various teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support field commissioning projects, ensuring adherence to technical standards.
  • Prepare all necessary documentation related to project activities.
  • Validate designs during customer acceptance, verify document consistency, and manage evolving customer requirements.
  • Support site organization during preparation and commissioning phases, ensuring compliance with Quality Procedures and work instructions.
  • Assist the site during Site Acceptance Test (SAT) preparations and conduct validations to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Demonstrate compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) regulations, promote Zero Deviation Plans, and foster a safe work environment.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to ensure excellent service delivery and maintain strong professional relationships.

Qualifications and Requirements

This is an early career opportunity, suitable for candidates with 0-1 years of experience. Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Willingness to travel regionally as required for project assignments.
  • Possess the legal right to work in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) without requiring company sponsorship or time restrictions.

Desired Characteristics

  • Knowledge and skills to actively support an outage and identify resources for resolving technical questions.
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure and take ownership of onsite activities.
  • Willingness to travel both within the country and internationally, and to work overtime as needed.

Work Environment

This role is based in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia, and involves field activities that require regional and potentially international travel. The position is structured as a traineeship, providing practical experience within a professional engineering environment.
