Solution Leaders Fayez Engineering is a professional firm based in Al Khobar, Eastern Province. The company is currently seeking an experienced Electrical Department Manager to lead its electrical engineering operations. This full-time position is central to ensuring the successful execution of projects and the strategic development of the department.

Role Overview

The Electrical Department Manager will oversee all aspects of the electrical engineering department, from project design implementation to team coordination and adherence to industry standards. This leadership role requires a blend of technical expertise and managerial acumen to drive departmental efficiency and project quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the Principal Electrical Engineer to ensure correct implementation of project designs and manage the work of Lead Engineers.
• Prepare and review electrical engineering studies, design drawings and documents, and materials and equipment specifications.
• Resolve specialty-related electrical engineering issues by applying accepted principles, codes, and standards.
• Establish the scope of work for each project or proposal.
• Schedule and expedite the work of the department.
• Develop organizational procedures, methods, and controls.
• Ensure quality and safety standards and procedures are followed.
• Coordinate activities with other departments and clients.
• Determine the need for investigation and research.
• Participate in the development of long-range plans.
• Establish project objectives and priorities.
• Provide expert advice on electrical engineering design, process, and other methods.

Leadership and Management

• Make staffing decisions and provide employees with training and development opportunities.
• Propose and manage the department budget, participating in the development of the unit budget.
• Propose and manage quality initiatives, participating in the development of procedures.
• Make recommendations concerning salary adjustments and performance evaluations.
• Approve timesheets for department staff.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science (BS) in Engineering and registration as a professional engineer.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in the oil/gas, hydrocarbon, refinery, offshore, or infrastructure industries.
• Demonstrated recognition as a specialist in the electrical engineering field, particularly on large to mega projects.
• Thorough knowledge of electrical engineering practices and economic principles, calculation protection methods, design details, international codes and standards, procedures, and specifications.

Work Setting

This is a full-time position located in Al Khobar, Eastern Province. The role involves working within a dynamic engineering environment, collaborating with various internal departments and external clients to achieve project objectives.
