Electrical Department Manager

About the Role

Solution Leaders Fayez Engineering is seeking an experienced Electrical Department Manager to join their team in Al Khobar, Eastern region. This full-time position involves overseeing the electrical engineering department and ensuring the successful execution of projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the Principal Electrical Engineer to ensure correct implementation of project designs and manage the work of Lead Engineers.
• Prepare and review electrical engineering studies, design drawings and documents, and specifications for materials and equipment.
• Resolve electrical engineering issues by applying accepted principles, codes, and standards.
• Establish the scope of work for each project or proposal.
• Schedule and expedite the work of the department.
• Develop organizational procedures, methods, and controls.
• Ensure adherence to quality and safety standards and procedures.
• Coordinate activities with other departments and clients.
• Determine the need for investigation and research.
• Participate in the development of long-range plans.
• Establish project objectives and priorities.
• Provide expert advice on electrical engineering design, processes, and other methodologies.

Leadership and Management

• Make staffing decisions and provide employees with training and development opportunities.
• Propose and manage the department budget and participate in the development of the unit budget.
• Propose and manage quality initiatives and participate in the development of procedures.
• Make recommendations concerning salary adjustments and performance evaluations.
• Approve timesheets.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical engineering.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage an engineering department.
• Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, codes, and standards.
