About the Role

Kempinski Hotels is seeking a Waiter for a Lebanese restaurant in Al Khobar, Eastern region. This full-time role involves serving food and beverages to guests, ensuring a courteous, professional, and efficient service consistent with hotel standards and Kempinski's values. The primary goal is to encourage sales and maximize guest satisfaction.

Reporting Structure and Professional Conduct

The Waiter reports to the Head Waiter/Waitress, Supervisor, Assistant Manager, and Outlet Manager. Punctuality and adherence to the hotel's dress code and Kempinski grooming standards are essential, including wearing the correct, clean uniform, appropriate polished shoes, and a nametag at all times. Maintaining a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide courteous, professional, and efficient service at all times.
• Perform all duties and tasks as required by the assigned outlet.
• Maintain knowledge of all services and products offered by the hotel.
• Possess thorough knowledge and understanding of all food and beverage items offered by the department.
• Explain and upsell items, and offer alternatives as appropriate.
• Monitor operating supplies and equipment to reduce spoilage and wastage.
• Ensure the workplace and surrounding area are kept clean and organized.
• Successfully perform opening and closing procedures for the assigned outlet.
• Handle guest inquiries courteously and efficiently, reporting complaints and feedback to supervisors immediately and ensuring follow-up.
• Operate the existing POS system based on the assigned responsibility level.
• Adhere strictly to hotel policies, including those on fire, hygiene, health, and safety.
• Maintain good rapport and working relationships with staff within the department and hotel.
• Attend and contribute to all scheduled staff meetings and trainings.
• Assist in carrying out scheduled inventories of products and operating equipment.

Operational Duties and Adaptability

The role involves undertaking reasonable tasks and secondary duties as assigned by the Department Head. The Waiter must be responsive to any changes in the department as dictated by hotel management. Additional responsibilities and tasks may be added according to business and hotel needs.

Required Experience and Professional Demeanor

Candidates should have 0-1 years of experience in a relevant field. It is essential to project a positive and motivated attitude and exercise self-control at all times while performing duties.
