About Aloula Aviation and the Role

Aloula Aviation (الأولى للطيران), located in Dammam, Eastern region, is seeking a Cost Estimation Engineer to join its full-time team. This role is integral to managing project budgets and cost control for construction and operation activities, requiring 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Role Overview

The Cost Estimation Engineer is responsible for preparing realistic and reliable project budgets, providing detailed cost analysis, and managing cost control for both construction and operation costs. This position involves collaborating with project teams, evaluating design criteria, and ensuring compliance with relevant policies and procedures throughout project lifecycles.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare realistic and reliable project budgets for construction and operation costs during early design stages and feasibility studies.
• Provide detailed cost estimating and justified cost analysis for all items throughout each design phase.
• Evaluate design criteria and material selections against the budget, offering necessary recommendations.
• Conduct technical and financial evaluations of bidders during the tendering phase.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure estimates align with project requirements, manage cost control, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Prepare a comprehensive database for cost plans, estimation benchmarks, vendor logs, and pricing basis.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant construction, safety, security, quality, and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls across operations.
• Develop accurate budgeting and financial planning during project initiation and execution phases.
• Perform detailed cost analyses and document resource allocation to manage expenses efficiently, ensuring timely delivery of critical projects while meeting operational and financial goals.
• Communicate timely with the reporting manager or Airport Maintenance Manager on matters affecting airport maintenance activities that require attention or intervention.
• Perform other operational or management duties as directed by the reporting manager or higher management.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
• 5 years of experience in cost estimation or a related engineering field.

Preferred Certifications

• AACE Certified Cost Professional (CCP), PMP, or equivalent cost engineering and project management certifications are preferred.

Work Environment

This full-time position is based in Dammam, Eastern region. The Cost Estimation Engineer will work within a collaborative environment, contributing to the financial planning and control of critical projects and operations at Aloula Aviation.
