About the Finance Manager Role at Henkel

Henkel is seeking a dedicated and experienced Finance Manager to join its team in Dammam, Eastern, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves leading key financial and accounting operations, ensuring compliance and driving efficiency within the Saudi Arabian market.

Role Purpose and Scope

The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing all general accounting activities and managing tax matters for Henkel in Saudi Arabia. This role is critical for maintaining financial integrity, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting strategic financial objectives through robust controls and continuous process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead general accounting activities for Saudi Arabia, including General Ledger management, journal entries, accruals, provisions, balance-sheet reconciliations, and financial controls.
  • Ensure accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, adhering to IFRS, local regulatory requirements, and Henkel's accounting policies.
  • Manage and coordinate all Saudi tax matters, encompassing VAT, withholding tax, corporate income tax, and other applicable tax requirements, ensuring precise and timely filings and payments.
  • Serve as the primary Finance contact for ZATCA (Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority), coordinating tax queries, assessments, audits, supporting documentation, and responses to authorities.
  • Identify and address accounting discrepancies, potential tax exposures, and compliance risks, implementing appropriate controls and mitigation strategies.
  • Support internal and external audits, collaborating with regional and global Finance and Tax teams, business stakeholders, and external tax advisors (including Big Four firms) as needed.
  • Drive continuous improvement, standardization, and automation of Finance processes, with a particular focus on strengthening SAP/ERP workflows, enhancing accounting efficiency, and improving financial governance.

Required Experience and Qualifications

Candidates for this role should possess a strong background in finance and accounting, coupled with significant experience in the Saudi Arabian market. The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Between 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting roles, preferably within a multinational environment.
  • Proven expertise in general accounting principles, IFRS, and local Saudi accounting standards.
  • In-depth knowledge of Saudi tax regulations, including VAT, withholding tax, and corporate income tax.
  • Experience with SAP/ERP systems and a strong understanding of financial controls and governance.
  • Ability to manage complex financial operations and interact effectively with regulatory bodies like ZATCA.

Work Location and Type

This is a full-time position based in Dammam, Eastern, Saudi Arabia. The role requires on-site presence to effectively manage local operations and stakeholder interactions.
